There is something… off about Yarrowfrost, something that no cat can quite place or describe. If anything, she gives off some aura of isolation and general dislike of the world – be it in her sharp tongue or quick wit or disdainful glare or the casual way she will brush anyone off without a second thought, regardless of rank or strength or their self-believed power over her. Yarrowfrost is a cat all her own, and she doesn’t care much for company. She believes herself to be better than those around her but won’t stoop to arrogance – instead, she tends to ignore them except for when they can do something for her.

Now, she’s not antisocial or anything close to that, and she won’t argue with a hunting or border patrol, or helping a clanmate train their apprentice. But she’s now serving her clan out of loyalty or “the goodness of her heart,” and Yarrowfrost isn’t afraid to make that obvious. She does what she has to because that is what she’s used to. She’s a clan cat, and so she will behave like one. However, she despises how the clans run and would personally rather see one clan prosper while the others fall (hopefully ShadowClan because she’s a ShadowClanner). She would never voice these thoughts though, out of self preservation. How could she survive if her clan or any other clan cats knew that she didn’t believe in StarClan or hold her leader’s word as law? If they knew she entertained thoughts of a future none of them would live to see?

Of course, Yarrowfrost will never act on those thoughts, for the same reason she will never speak them. She’s content to play along with the life she was given, to act loyal and care for her clan, biding her time and hoping that it is her progeny – somewhere down the line – that realizes the mistakes of the clans and rights them.

Yarrowfrost’s life started off rather simply.

other; Yarrowfrost is partially blind – colors are muted, and everything takes on a “blurry” quality – but since she has never seen the world any differently, she can’t tell the difference.
